[Mulgara-dev] Update on transactions work.

I'll prepare a more detailed update tomorrow, however I felt it was
worth letting people know that the transaction work I've been working
on for the past 5 weeks is nearing completion. Having spent the
first 2 weeks sketching and documenting the proposed new
architecture, I have spent the past 3 weeks migrating Mulgara across
to the new design by increments - each increment continuing to pass
all the tests, and with as many assertions as I can conceive catching
logical errors.
I currently have 2 increments left to perform, and at my current rate
I should have them sometime next week (although one of them is a
little tricky, so that estimate could still slip by a couple of days).
At that point I would appreciate it if people could try out the xafix-
impl branch, and hammer it with as many operations as you can think
of, in as many different orders as you care to. I would really like
to know that the xafix-impl branch has been well tested by the entire
user community before I merge it into trunk.
That being said, I am excited at the prospect of getting this done,
and the options is creates for further Mulgara features.
