[Mulgara-general] backtracking reasoning

As far as I can see, currently Mulgara only does forward reasoning,  
ie: the reasoning requires new facts to be added to the database.

Would it be possible to add Prolog like reasoning? It seems like that  
would best be done on the server close to the data.
I am not sure what the properties of backtracking reasoning are for  
rdf...
